The African American Chamber of Commerce (AAICC) and its Chamber Coalition Partners recognizes the importance of supplier diversity. If the United States and its growing multicultural population and businesses are to continue to grow in an increasingly diverse marketplace, we must encourage and support the growth and development of properly functioning Procurement Departments with minority- and women-owned businesses. We believe that the effectiveness of the Procurement Department, its partners (minority- and women-owned businesses) and our society depends on enabling all members of our society to share in the nation's economic growth. Our goal is to develop an increasing number of qualified minority- and women-owned suppliers capable of doing business with Procurement Departments as partners not adversaries. We believe this goal supports the Chamber’s policy of providing its members with quality relationships with corporate America and government.
* Increase opportunities for minorities and women with Corporate America and Government thus ensuring them an equal opportunity to provide products and services.
* Develop partnership relationships with Corporate America and Government Procurement Departments with whom we can build long-term relationships that are mutually beneficial for the Chamber and Chamber members.
* Prohibit discrimination against individuals or businesses that are in pursuit of these opportunities on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, national origin or other protected status.
