The New American Chamber of Commerce (NACC), founded in 2005, is a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization with a strong focus on New Americans and the minority communities in general. Our current membership is approximately 2,500 with a mixture of professionals, executives, faith-based and non-profit organizations, budding entrepreneurs and start-ups, and other small business owners. NACC, together with the African-American International Chamber of Commerce (AAICC),  founded in 2012 and the Hispanic-American International Chamber of Commerce (HAICC), founded in 2013, comprises the Chamber Coalition.

Our calendar is very active. We have regular seminars, workshops and programs including, but not limited to, our Small Business Boot Camp Series (adults), 6 times per year: February, March (Procurement-Ready), April, June (Expo) September and October; our Faith-based and Non-profits Breakfast Empowerment Series; Social Media; Youth Leadership Program – Small Business Boot Camp Series (August) and the Paralegal Certificate Program (throughout the year). Other programs include: The Executive Women’s Leadership Program and the Travel Certificate Program.

The Chamber’s signature event is the Annual Multicultural Business Expo held in June (celebrating and observing Caribbean-American Heritage Month and Juneteenth). The day starts with a Welcome VIP Business Breakfast and continues with exhibits and empowering seminars/workshops throughout the day and culminates with a Juneteenth Celebration & Cocktail Reception Awards.

In April 2015, we had our first Annual Minority Procurement Conference in April at BNY Mellon. NYC Comptroller, The Hon. Scott Stringer was our keynote speaker. The April 2016 Minority Procurement Conference focused on the Fashion Industry: From Design to Hanger, includes sourcing, financing, law, start-up, exporting, marketing, social media, etc.

On Thursday, November 19, 2015 we hosted our first annual Green Business Summit at BNY Mellon. The day started off with a Welcome VIP Business Breakfast and continued with exhibits and empowering seminars/workshops throughout the day. We had prominent marketing with an insert in the NY Daily News (over 300,000 copies) as well as radio ads on 1010WINS (over 2 million listeners), plus we have our own radio show on WPAT 930AM and WVIP 93.5FM (10+yrs) and 100,000 copies of associate publication, Caribbean American Weekly. Our newest associate publication is Workers World Today, founded in 2018.

The Chamber is very progressive and has its own newsletter and its podcast, Business Matters. Podcasts of the show can be found here and it is e-blasted to our database of over 15,000 every week.

The Chamber Coalition has international objectives. As such, in April 2012, the Chamber sent two representatives to Shanghai, China. This trip was fully sponsored by the Shanghai government. The Chamber hosted a Cocktail Reception in partnership with the Botswana Consulate: Doing Business and Vacationing in Botswana. The Chamber also has an International Chamber Partner Initiative where we host interns from overseas.
